I do docs.
As part of Fusion TV’s Naked Truth team, I hosted, co-produced, and co-wrote four investigative documentaries, two of which one awards.
THE NAKED TRUTH: DEBT TRAP | The U.S. has $1.6 trillion in outstanding student loan debt. Every 28 seconds a borrower defaults on their debt, opening themselves up to financial catastrophe. In this hour-long documentary, which includes interviews with Senator Elizabeth Warren, we examine what happens to the American Dream when an entire generation is buried in debt.
Winner of the the 2018 NYSSCPA Excellence in Finance Journalism Award.
NAKED TRUTH: DEBT TRAP was featured on Patriot Act with Hasan Minjah.
THE NAKED TRUTH: FRAT POWER | We spent a year investigating the dark sides of college Greek life—from hazing deaths to sexual assaults. What we didn’t expect to find was the dark power behind all those boozy frat house parties: a powerful network of loyal alumni, from top university donors to members of Congress.
THE NAKED TRUTH: DISTRICT OF CANNABIS | In this hour-long doc that’s part investigative part gonzo, we roll into the nation's capitol to examine what might be America’s weirdest, most controversial weed laws. Along the way, we hang out with a pot-peddling rabbi, interview a kid whose life depends on medical marijuana, and protest at the White House with the world’s biggest joint.
THE NAKED TRUTH: NUMBERS GAME | We examine how America’s inadequate collection of crime data is letting police off the hook and tainting public policy. Along the way, we visit Gretna, Louisiana, the city with the highest arrest rate in America, and Baltimore, where the number of police stops have been grossly underestimated. In the end, we uncover the disturbing reality of American crime that’s behind the numbers.
